B 1 Visas - Business Visitors

Acceptable activities include - coming to U.S. to solicit sales, negotiate contracts; take orders for a foreign employer or to act as a purchasing agent for foreign company; or engage in activities necessary to set up an investment. Cannot engage in productive employment and be paid by U.S. employer. Acceptable business activities are expanded under NAFTA for Canadians and Mexicans.
