Lesley Guyton has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from Connecticut College and a Juris Doctorate degree from Antioch School of Law (now D.C. School of Law). She has practiced law since 1975. Ms. Guyton is a Board Member of Minnesota Advocates for Human Rights and has acted as a Consulting Attorney for that organization since 1992. She also acts as a mentor to new immigration law practitioners and other private practitioners regarding immigration law issues. She is past Chairperson of the Immigration Section of the Minnesota State Bar Association and an active member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association. She is currently a member of the AILA Liaison Committee which meets regularly with local CIS officials to discuss policies and procedures.
